Notre Dame is coming off of it’s biggest win as a program in 30 years, but the celebration had to be short. After the tragedy postponed the Sugar Bowl, the Irish have a shorter week to prepare compared to Penn State who has a two-day head start. Luckily for head coach Marcus Freeman this week of prep has now turned into a regular season game week of preparation, but with the stakes being at an all time high.
A win punches their ticket to compete for their first national championship since 1988 and would be their first national championship appearance since 2012. Coach Freeman spoke about their matchup with the Nittany Lions in the Orange Bowl when he addressed the media yesterday.
