The South Sydney Rabbitohs have secured their long-term replacement for Damien Cook, with Peter Mamouzelos signing a three-year contract extension.
The deal will keep the hooker in Redfern until at least the end of the 2027 season.
Mamouzelos has played seven first-grade matches for the Rabbitohs.
“I’m really excited to be extending my time with this club,” the 23-year-old said.
“I told my manager I didn’t want to go anywhere else. I’ve grown up here in the South Sydney area, it’s always been my team and I love this club.
“When I spoke to him and he said we’re staying here, I was ecstatic!”
Jesse Marschke signs with Dragons
St George Illawarra have moved quickly to add to their playmaking stocks following the Ronald Volkman debacle, signing Jesse Marschke from the North Sydney Bears.
Jesse adds valuable depth to our spine and is coming off a strong season with the Bears,” head coach Shane Flanagan said.
“We look forward to welcoming him to the club as we ramp up our preparations for the start of the 2024 season.”
