Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman expressed pride after being named as a Team USA member for the 4 Nations Face-Off on Wednesday. The tournament, featuring top talent from the U.S., Canada, Finland and Sweden, will take place in February 2025 in Montreal and Boston.

 

Representing Team USA is a high point in his career and he is determined to contribute to the team’s success.

Team USA’s roster blends youth and experience, including players like Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes and veterans Chris Kreider and Vincent Trocheck. The tournament marks the first best-on-best international hockey event since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

The Boston Bruins defeated the 4-2 on Wednesday. The Blackhawks took the lead with Alex Vlasic’s goal at 1:23 of the first period. The Bruins tied it at 1-1 when Morgan Geekie scored after his shot slipped through Petr Mrazek’s pads.  the Bruins a 2-1 lead with a one-timer in the second period.

Marchand scored again to make it 3-1 with a backhand goal. Jason Dickinson cut the lead to 3-2 for Chicago. Geekie sealed the win with a breakaway goal in the third, making it 4-2. Jeremy Swayman made 20 saves for Boston, who took a third win in a row.
